About Glen

Glen Fretwell has been creating beautiful landscape designs for over 20 years. He has practiced organic gardening since he was a boy at his family home in Alabama, eventually studying landscape architecture at UCLA.

I fell in love with gardening at 7 years old when I grew a tulip from a bulb to give to my mother for Mother’s Day. Watching it grow gave me such pleasure that I started working with plants and trees in our front yard.

After 20 years of working on large-scale projects in partnership with Greg Thirloway at our company Inside Out Design, I have decided to concentrate on smaller, more personal gardens, which bring me back to my mother’s yard in Alabama.
